Commentary:
This was a concept drawing done for “My Little Pony: The Movie” (2017). Not even kidding – my name is in the credits! It was done for a pre-preproduction script idea they had in which the ponies travel to a grittier less innocent animated world. Or something like that. The script eventually ended up going a different direction and none of my concepts were used but I still got a movie credit out of it and many of my drawings can be seen in the movie’s “Art of” book. -SP
